From the first click to reviewed time
Finding an opportunity is the beginning. Approval is a separate step, made by the people responsible for reviewing your service.
Showing up matters.
So does getting the record right.
Browse public previews by task, area and duration. Sign in to read full details, requirements and any shared venue address.
Review the listing and confirm registration yourself. A chat answer or a search result never registers you.
After volunteering, submit your service session through your account. Describe the work and time honestly.
Submitted time stays pending until an authorized organizer approves it. Your dashboard separates pending time from approved totals.
Approved hours reflect recorded organizer decisions. School or club acceptance depends on its own policies and any required institutional review.
Keep the next step close
Add ServeUp when your browser supports it. Listings, registration, your account and chat still need an internet connection. Offline, you’ll see a simple reconnect page, with no saved account records.
Installation & offline detailsWhy I’m building ServeUp
ServeUp is a student project built around a simple idea: it should be easier to find useful local work, understand what you’re signing up for, and keep a record of time an organizer has reviewed.
ServeUp is operated to connect volunteers with local organizations. Published listings come from organizations. The separate sample board uses fictional organizations in White Plains, Yonkers and New Rochelle; those examples cannot be registered.
Start with a task Read the TermsChrome / Android: an Install ServeUp button appears only when your browser offers installation. You can also look for an install option in the browser menu. Availability varies by browser.
iPhone / iPad: open ServeUp in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. If shown, enable Open as Web App, then tap Add.
Use HTTPS on a hosted site. Localhost is for development; an ordinary HTTP Wi-Fi address does not enable offline support or installation.
Only approved public images, icons, fonts and a generic reconnect page are saved for offline use. Account pages, listings, sign-in, registration and chat require a connection. Review an interrupted submission’s status online before retrying.
